Wednesday 9th June 2-3pm Gaining leadership skills in Discovery
Would you like to take your volunteering to the next level and develop leadership skills through your volunteering with Discovery? Discovery has lots of leadership opportunities and this workshop will go through the different leadership opportunities available, how you can get involved and what support you get in the different roles. Cyber Crime Awareness – 10-11am, Tuesday 1st June

An introduction to Sight Loss Awareness – 1-3pm, Wednesday 2nd June
Volunteers will share personal experience of sight loss and aim to develop understanding of the problems individuals face. An introduction to hearing loss – 10-11am, Thursday 3rd June
This session includes statistics of how many people have hearing loss, are Deaf or have tinnitus. An update on the Children (Abolition of Defence of Reasonable Punishment) (Wales) Act 2020. Effects of domestic abuse on children – 10-11am, Monday 7th June
The session aims to raise awareness of the effects of domestic abuse on children and young people and to give those who attend confidence to refer children that need SWA support to us.
