The Swansea University Enterprise Team have teamed up with Discovery SVS to create a fantastic opportunity for you.
Every year we at Discovery host our Volunteer Fair and as we all know everything has been a bit unpredictable lately. So, to make sure that this year’s Volunteer Fair is accessible for everyone, regardless of the circumstances at the time, we have decided to host it virtually – and we would like YOU to design it for us!
With access to the Simply Do Ideas platform (individually or as a team) you can submit your ideas for how the fair should run, what kind of budget you would use, whether you would like guest speakers and everything in between. The Discovery Fair is an opportunity for everyone to hear more about what Discovery do to support the local community as well as sign up for projects they might be interested in.
You can work as part of a team or submit your idea individually. You will be given a small budget and some information on what the fair needs to have but the rest is up to you! The person or team with the best idea will then be given the opportunity to actually LEAD the virtual fair in October.
This will allow you to develop a whole host of skills and will look fantastic on your CV.
Once you have submitted your ideas by the deadline, the Enterprise Team and Discovery will sit down and discuss which one they think is the best idea. You will then be given the opportunity to plan over the summer period in readiness for the October Launch.
