International Women’s Day
Today it is International Women’s Day. The theme this year is #ChooseToChallenge. A challenged world is an alert world. Individually, we’re all responsible for our own thoughts and actions – all day, every day.
We can all choose to challenge and call out gender bias and inequality. We can all choose to seek out and celebrate women’s achievements. Collectively, we can all help create an inclusive world. Find out more on the International Women’s Day website
Our Digital Media Volunteers have created some amazing content to celebrate today.
Volunteer Rewa Gupta had this to say “Today is a day to think about all the amazing women we have in our lives and who have made us who we are. It is a day to celebrate their achievements and encourage them to achieve greater successes. Gone are the days where women were expected to only stay at home and raise kids. Now we see women in every field working . This would not have been possible without the strong determination and dedication of women themselves who dared to dream big and break the stereotypical borders of the society.
Women have progressed a long way in terms of their education, rights and freedom and still have a lot to achieve. To help them achieve their goals and ambitions it is important for us to live in a world that values and respects and looks up to women. It is important for us to create a safe and women-friendly environment everywhere.
To every woman that has inspired, influenced and empowered change, “Thank You” for making it happen and wishing each and every women a very Happy Women’s Day!
