This week Inspire have come together to create a fun active activity for you to join in with! You can print out our exercise dice template and make your own dice, or use any dice you have at home and then follow along with our exercises. Make sure to do any exercises in a safe space with plenty of room, and know your own limits to prevent any injury and most importantly, have fun!
Exercise-Dice-2 Exercise-DiceExercise Dice DIY
Equipment
- Printed out exercise dice templates
- Scissors (make sure to ask an adult for help when using these)
- Glue
- Card (Optional. You can stick the template onto some card before you cut it out if you want to make the dice stronger)
Method
- Print out the templates for the exercise dice. We have also added a blank template, so you can write in your own exercises or different times if you want to make this activity your own! Other exercises you could use are: Dance, jump, arm circles, crunches, toe touches and many more!
- Cut around the template, you may need an adult’s help for this bit!
- Fold along all the lines, then add glue to each flap that says glue, and fold it and attach to the other edges (use the numbers as a guide, attach flap 1 to side one, flap 2 to side 2 ect. When all the flaps are glued down, you should have a cube.
- Repeat this with the other template
- You now have two exercise dice!
- Roll both to make a combination of an exercise and a time to do it for. Once you have done the exercise, roll the dice again and do the next exercise. Repeat this as many times as you want, and make sure to stretch first!
- For some of the exercises (e.g. arm raises) you may want to split the time and do half on each side (e.g. 10 seconds for the left arm, 10 seconds for the right arm)
- Make sure you do the exercises in a safe space with plenty of room, and know your own limits to prevent any injuries.
