Inspire: Make your own play dough

This week’s activity suggested by the Inspire Project is DIY Play Doh! As it’s Mental Health Awareness Week, it’s very important to spend time relaxing, enjoying and taking part in new hobbies! This instruction pack and video will help guide you through making your own Play Doh from home! Remember don’t eat it 😀

We hope you have fun making playdough but please remember not to eat it!

Ingredients:
8 tbsp plain flour
2 tbsp salt
60 ml water
Food colouring
1 tbsp vegetable oil

Method:
Step 1:
Mix together the flour and salt in a bowl

Step 2:
In a separate bowl, mix together the water, a few drops of the food colouring of your choice and the oil

Step 3:
Pour the coloured water into the flour mix and mix together with a spoon

Step 4:
Put some flour on a work surface and knead the dough for a few minutes until smooth. Add more food colouring at this point for a stronger colour

Step 5:
Enjoy playing with your playdough!
